Here I Am
Here I lay me down to sleep.
All the past versions I keep.
Buried in each cell of memory, building this physical temple you see.
I see, we. Myself in each version I’m passing.
Gazes pass between. I feel heavy, then release. I was looking behind me to
see.
A pep to the stranger’s step. Smile, I release. All it took was soul recognition.
I see you through every face I meet. I’m sorry for how I’ve behaved when I
didn’t know what else to do, but fall back on old programs before you. Thank you for the patience and love renewed. Help
me not make the face a chronic one, I release it, never to be worn again. I
will be as I am. At peace.
The first promise I receive. I will live and believe in best outcomes for
any life brings me. A turning point in my direction, a mirrored reflection of
return to perfection, a phoenix rising in each. The poet in me can’t help but
hum to life by the end of the day.
Something to see. I used to see the sunrise with tears in my eyes, taking
the time to pay attention to the reflection Life was painting between. A
miraculous thing, so full of beauty, for just a moment of colorful brilliance
to announce its return, then released to illuminate all things.
Shifting lights in the sky reveal secrets to the watchful eyes. Mysteries
are perceived, ideas conceived in moments frozen. Ready? Action…
Perception shifting to adjust to all scenes in a way that becomes each mirror
to perfection.
