Governed by maritime pirates, are we…
Flying over the ocean the waves lapping up at me,
Beaconing me to come in for a closer look,
they come bearing a warning from the living book.
I move in, locked in excitements grip
dipping deeply, I fly to the surface.
“Do you see it yet? Can you feel it little ship?“
It whispers through the winds at me.
I’m still looking, I concede.
I peer through the mist, straight into the abyss,
Only to see dead things staring blankly back at me…
“Lawless Pirates have contrived these things,
hoisting humanity out to sea.“
The sirens song sings out to me.
“I see,” but my senses are scrambled at this inkling.
“I am in need of further explanation, please.“
The wind shifts, whiping the waves into a fury.
“See all of these fish?“
I see bodies, faces frozen in terror and tragedy.
Each lifting above the water’s surface to stare emptily at me.
“Who is responsible for this?”
My tears are set free to join with their briny surroundings.
“These crimes against humanity are conducted by conspiring entities.
Those who claim to govern, entertain and protect the sheep,
in conjunction with the tyrants who claim to teach and preach
Only project a wooly covering to cloak their teeth…
while blaspheming the natural law of things…
They lull you into fitful sleep… until you’re crashing.
What’s left they eat.
Maritime pirates have overtaken your countries…
Every last vessel is lost at sea.”
My heart sinks like a wrecked ship,
countless casualties pour through my eyelids.
“We’re all floating Like dead fish,
flailing while caught in the merciless grip... is there a way to escape it?“
“Now you get it… Look to the lighthouse little ship“
The sirens sing.
“I hate them…” I scream into the mayhem. “I hate them for all they are doing!
I want to see them burn to nothing in spite of the ocean surrounding them!
I want to see them set fire for all of eternity!
How dare they chain and drown humanity!
I want to save the ones lost, the ships tossed by their vanity!
I want to swoop in and carry the injured away!
I want to give those exhausted all of my energy!
How could they live in such a way?! Day after day without their conscience burning?
Cut them off at the head… These snakes don’t deserve burying!
Let the dead things be dead indeed!“
My angry screams turn to roaring,
they mix in perfectly with the thundering sea,
as lightning from above crashes down around me.
Suddenly the storm stops, the clouds begin to burn off.
A cool breeze sweeps in to calm my smoldering.
“I’m glad you agree… Keep watching.“
The simple answer whispered back to me,
leaves resounding peace.
