I saw you again today
You got me so good it took my breath away.
Wore a familiar face, but it wasn’t the real thing looking back at me.
It’s how we always used to play.
Pretend, to get away from reality.
Go hard. Rough and tumble outdoor dogs.
Started misinterpreting pain for fun…
Anything to feel more alive inside.
Alone and always hungry for…
We learned to thrive on potential.
Dear diary, come alive and keep me company
I’m freaking… *breathe deeply*
Tears falling to the pages,
I wasn’t expecting this.
Let my guard down and I lost it.
The blistering tear is now an iron grip crisis.
All of this, ripe for the picking,
transmuting, and repairing
I’m working on it.
Got my directives in the quiet.
Transmission reading,
‘continue mission, my little baby,’
and so I’m sticking to… IT.
Thank you. XOXO
